Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the HPRCA PGT Teacher Recruitment 2026, candidates must fulfill the following:
- Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject OR vice versa.
- Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa OR two to three years of experience in translation work in a Government office.

Scheme of Examination: SSC Combined Hindi Translator Recruitment 2026
The Combined Hindi Translators (Junior & Senior) Examination 2026 will consist of 2 (two) papers.
- Paper- I (Objective) is a CBT Mode Examination with (objective) multiple choice questions, divided into two sections- General Hindi & General English, carrying 100 marks each with sectional timekeeper of 1 hour. Negative marking of 0.25 marks is there for each wrong answer in Paper- I.
- Paper- II (Descriptive) On the Basis of performance in Paper I, candidates would be shortlisted category-wise to sit for Paper- II. It is a descriptive paper (pen and paper mode) testing of translating and essay writing skills in both Hindi and English, carrying 200 marks.
- Final Merit List : Final merit will be based on performance in both papers. 50% weightage of Paper-I + 100% weightage of Paper-II marks.
